The Cost of
War
By C. E. Carlson
Is the War on Terrorism a Boom for the
Economy or a Financial Disaster in Disguise?
In our October 2000 story, "THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS,"
We Hold These Truths described what Americans could expect from G. W. Bush in
the White House. After Day911 President Bush broke all popularity records.
Some Americans now see their IRA's melt away
in the stock market while the costs of groceries, postage, taxes, and just
about everything else, escalates. Perhaps it is time to examine if the
"War on Terrorism," is the bargain we were told, and what
alternatives are available.
We will begin with a review of what We Hold
These Truths said about the candidate George W. Bush, before he became our
President. The following are quotes from our own pre-election evaluation of
candidate Bush. -- Editor
WE WROTE:
"We will examine briefly those who control this, the most manipulable and
malleable likely-to-be-President ever to hold such vast power."
And, "His is also likely to be a
planned one-term president for reasons to be discussed in future editions. What
is vital to discuss is to whom he owes his allegiance."
And, "There is nothing incompetent or
undecided about Bush's advisors. Baby Bush is already surrounded by powerful
and ambitious men, most of whom shaped his father's Gulf War-making
administration. And unfortunately there is absolutely nothing in George W.
Bush's character that suggests he will resist, or even understand the nature of
the evil he will be asked to pronounce upon those who they envy and hate."
And, "His Vice-President, Richard
Cheney, was Papa Bush's Secretary of Defense during Desert Storm, and James
Baker, who has been a prominent spokesman for George W. Bush during the Florida
vote count fiasco, was on Papa Bush's war team as head of the White House
Staff. Dr. Robert Blackwill was a State Department Assistant to both Kissinger
and George Schultz, so his allegiances can hardly be doubted. Richard Armitage
also is a veteran of Papa Bush team and was an Assistant Secretary of State in
1983-89."
And, "Baby Bush has now announced that
Warmaker Colin Powell will be his Secretary of State to replace Madeline
Albright. Powell was chief executioner of some 150,000 nearly defenseless
Iraqis in the Gulf War, as Papa Bush's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff."
And, "As long as there is a Middle
Eastern conflict in which Americans pay for the subjugation of the
Palestinians, we will be drawn into other wars to destroy the Arab, as in Iraq.
We taxpayers are the hired gun in Israel's War on Islam. Baby Bush stands to be
used as a warmaking tool perhaps more brutally than Mr. Clinton was."
--End of quotes--
We Hold These Truth's prediction of a
warmaking, controlled, one term President appears to be right on target. But
the stock is market trembling uncontrollably and the once respected US Dollar
is falling in almost every market in the world. It is in the dollar market
where world opinion votes our government to be the giant bully over the entire
globe. It is time we examine the inevitable price we must bear for maintaining
serial war. Series to continue, THE COST OF WARRING .

SHERRY'S WAR -- How Judeo-Christians mix and match scripture verses and the use
of out of context added text to promote the Pop Church's "chosen
people" and end times scenario. Sherry, and many well meaning, professed
Christians have justified war against Arab people without a scrap of scriptural
support and with little knowledge of the conflict. "Sherry's War"
offers insight into current Christian sub-culture and why many have justified
or ignored entirely the brutal assassinations of Islamic peoples simply because
they are not Israelis or Christian. An introduction to WHTT's classic 20-page
study by the same name; see Right To The Point Journal. Sherry's War is a must
for every pastor, deacon, priest and cleric seeking the true nature of
Judeo-Christianity. This Special Report comes with a 60-minute audiotape.
Echoes of War: Who Will Answer? -- C. E.
Carlson and Winston Palmer compare notes from a letter written on the eve of
the 1991 Gulf War and the present day War on Terrorism. It examines the tactics
of the war machines of G. H. W. Bush and his son, President G. W. Bush. It
illustrates a disturbing parallel with a positive solution on 60-minute
audiotape.
