LEADERSHIP
Charles E. Carlson is President of Strait Gate
Ministries. Mr. Carlson was also a co-founder
of
WHTT, an educational organization.
We Hold These Truths was started in April of 1996, and is now
an auxiliary of Strait Gate Ministries. Advisors
wear a symbolic pin seen on our website, and still serve as
volunteers and donors. The gold Liberty Bell pin is
their only compensation. Thirteen of the anticipated 56
Advisors’ chairs have been filled, the number of men who
signed the Declaration of Independence when the phrase "We
Hold These Truths" was first proclaimed.

OUR EXAMPLE
The strait gate refers to the quest for the spiritual “narrow
path” to righteousness described in Matthew 7:13, and
dramatized in
John Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress” in 1676.
Bunyan, an impoverished Tinker, and street preacher, wrote a
symbolic narrative about sacrifice and faithfulness to
God. He was 47, in jail in Bedford, England, and had
left a wife and a raft of hungry children to fend for
themselves. His crime was refusal to stop preaching what
Jesus Christ taught that was in conflict with the Church of
England. During the reign of Charles II, religious
persecution in England resulted in imprisonment of Bunyan,
William Penn, and others. Repression forged the new
world from the conflict of the old. Pilgrim’s Progress offers
a message of encouragement not only to followers of Christ,
but also to any pilgrim seeking the will of God in his life.

OUR PROGRESS
Project Strait
Gate began regular, active public vigils (mission to the
churched) outside worship services and religious conventions
in November 2002. We are reminded that Christ’s mission
began in the synagogues preaching to the congregations in the
presence of the Pharisees, the religious leaders of his
day. Over twenty-five vigils were carried out in 2003,
plus several more in January 2004.
Project Strait Gate Auxiliary units were formed in Los Angeles
and Northern Virginia, in January 2004.
Strait Gate Ecclesia was formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2003,
and completed its first year of New Testament Bible study and
prayer. Regular weekly meetings are open.
Educational:
Pharisee
Watch original articles, and
Right Point
Review, a weekly news summary, without charge to Internet
subscribers. Pharisee Watch has been reprinted in
publications worldwide, and translated into Arabic, Spanish
and French. Arabic and Spanish pages are expected
to be added to our website in 2004.
E-Ecclesia Internet Fellowship is expected to commence in
2004, and will permit worldwide participation in Strait Gate
Ecclesia. Donations are being accepted to fund this
project.
Speakers for universities, schools, mosques, and churches are
provided wherever our message of Peace is welcomed. If you
