Our America is a War-based Economy and Society

Is an unincorporated organization of those who do not think we should accept war as a way of life for our children.

It was not always so, and most of us would choose life, not war, if we had the chance.  If you are one of the millions who recognize this tragic, self-evident truth, you might wish to read on.

Those who benefit from continuous wars have always been with us.  Some obvious examples are munitions makers, and international bankers who never mention war but prosper in the background.  It is, and should be, our first citizen duty to recognize those who profit from war, those we call the Warmakers.  Yes, we do need national “defense” in case we are ever attacked.   But in our voter controlled society we must keep the Warmakers in check or they will “take your sons…to make his instruments of war”, as one Old Testament Bible prophesy in the book of Samuel warns. We must teach our children about Warmakers, for it is they who will carry his weapons and fly his drones.

The most obvious opponent of Warmaking should be our churches, mosques and synagogues, but they are not!

We, the grassroots, mostly Christian Americans, meet in and fund these churches. Tax Exempt religious organizations are the major support for our serial wars and military adventures in the false name of “peacekeeping and self-defense.”  Most of our churches claim to follow Jesus, the Peacemaker, but fail to stand for peace.  Some 15 years ago We Hold These Truths helped name these errant, war apologizing Church leaders, “Christian Zionists.”

Our story begins over two decades ago.  Our first MILESTONE article is dated December 26, 1991, addressed to a church, and entitled, “Iraq: America Prepped For ‘War,” by Charles Carlson.

It ends, “May God forgive us if, by our inaction, we allow genocide against Muslim women and children and the sacrifice of even one of our own children. The average Christian could not… provide a single reason why we should sacrifice the life of one American boy…”

Is that not exactly what happened in Iraq?  Do you not hear the same war drums beating out a chant to “engage” Syria and Iran? If so, we hope you can use this site to convince your friends and children to

On Zionism - A Video Collection
March 25th, 2014

Led by Charles E. Carlson, “We Hold These Truths” ( has been approaching this problem of Christian Zionism (CZ) from “What Would Jesus Do” point of view. Carlson believes that CZ originates in C.I. Scofield’s study Bible, which was a plot by the Illuminati Zionists from the beginning. He points out the precise “heresy” that is printed in the study Bible, and has bee taught at major seminaries, in the video. He believes that the Zionism has been the drive of the major world wars and is the same for the Middle Eastern war, which is the Zionists’ plan (Armageddon and the WW3). Carlson warns that many Zionist Christians are helping the Zionists’ agenda in their deceived state. See:

For years I have asked many people that profess or claim to be a Judeo/Christian , how can you BE a Jew and at the same time BE a Christian ? Does this mean you attend a synagogue and a church ? Did you know Jesus opposes violence ? He preached love one another and do not covet anything ? Todays Zionist political movement supported by many in the MSM [MainStreamMedia] has become a rallying point for the hybrid believers in the false doctrine of being a Judeo/Christian .

You people especially Tom Compton are clearly anti-Semantic and pro terrorist. How dare you say what Jesus would do is not bomb. Jesus first and foremost is a Jew and their King. They are the chosen people and the bible states that our Lord will return to save Israel from destruction and DESTROY it’s enemies. Have no doubt that Muslims are Israel’s enemy and their sole goal is to wipe them off the face of the earth. After everything that these disgusting people have done from blowing people up and beheading them to suppressing and abusing women to hating Israel and the West and cheering after terrorists attacks, how can anyone in their right mind defend them. Well I guess that is the answer obviously you people are not in your right minds.

Mary, Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.” And, he told us to love our neighbors as our selves and even love our enemies. So, if what Jesus said is true, please explain who he would bomb. According to the Apostle Paul, who was a Jewish zealot persecuting Christians before his conversion, he told us in Galatians 3: 28-29 that the “chosen people” are those who follow Jesus: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.” To confirm that statement go back to Galatians 3:16 to understand the context: “Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offspring,” referring to many, but referring to one, ‘And to your offspring,’ who is Christ.” My wife and I love our Jewish widow across the street and our Iranian neighbors, who, sadly, recently moved away. How are things in your neighborhood, Mary?

I wish your Power Point and Video presentation entitled The Cause of Our Conflict were still available. Yes I realize that it has been reworked into the documentary movie but I thought it was more compressed.

Andre, we are in the process of restoring our classic “The Cause of Our Conflict” presentation by Chuck Carlson. So, stay tuned. Thanks for your note of encouragement.

In response to Mary’s posting on November 18th, 2015.

Madam, since you have clearly taken the scriptures on Jews to the extreme of idolatry, with scant objective study of the scholarship on this particular site, I invite you as a descendant of Jews, to PLEASE study!

You should discover, hopefully, to your horror and shame, that TRUE followers of the Bible AHBOR Zionism whether they be Jewish or Christian…- a fact which has persisted since the very inception of Zionism! Indeed, your insistence to idolize Jews, WHILE demonizing those whom YOU deem to be their enemies, namely Muslims, not only exposes you to be a RACIST, HEARTLESS, CRUEL, WARMONGERING ANTICHRIST within yourself, but also the real ANTISEMITE!

WHY? The scholarship provided at explain it best, but in summary: YOU PLACE ALL JEWS and by association all TRUE Christians in danger from en encroaching NWO, by promotion of ‘Jewish Exceptionalism’ and thus by extension, hatred and genocide against all others which is the PRIMARY OBJECTIVE of ZIONISM!

Madam, you therefore are a DISGRACE to Christianity AND Torah Judaism! We reject you wholeheartedly! That is, unless you seek the True Nature of Christ, – that of ‘The Prince of Peace,’ – a concept whose rationale and gravitas clearly escapes you! In future, please be so kind as to DESIST from ‘helping’ us Jews! With ‘friends’ like you…-the world is fast becoming our enemy…-as per prophecy! Thank you for NOTHING!

Seeing as you have now removed Both the Comment for which I was banned from Christian United, AND the comment by the same person, I think it only right that you remove the comment against me which I consider slander.

Here the comments by Joe Cortes. He was the person I was accusing of antisemitism, not you or your page. This is the one directly above my comment.

Joe Cortes: Stop voting for jews that pass themselves for Christians.

And below your banning me was this:

Joe Cortes : Christians United for Peace u r so mistaken the founding fathers of the U.S. of A specificly states 200 years ago not you permit jews in America because they were as sick as their fanatical god Poor you so confused. So illiterate and ignorante. READ THE FORFATHERS of our nationm

I think the least you could do is remove what you wrote 5 hours later.
“Christians United for Peace Michael Swanson, was banned for his slander in this thread for calling us Anti-Semitic. For a Professor of History at Roger Williams University, you would think he knows the difference between Anti-Zionism & Antisemitism, but apparently he doesn’t. Calling us racist names like anti-Semitic to shut us up, is immediate grounds for shutting you up by banning you.”

… i was just blocked from the FB page “Christians United for Peace” for posting an OT quote. i have some questions for you, as i have never in my 50yrs on this planet heard anyone ever say that there was an OT god and a NT god.

… what did Jesus mean when He said “I and the Father are one.”” (John 10:30, ESV)

… how about “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.” (John 12:26, NKJV)

…. and again, “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23, NKJV)

… Who exactly is Jesus referring to as “My Father” if it is not the “God of the Old Testament”, as you put it?

… as far as blocking me for quoting from the OT, if you are actually Christians, then why don’t you want to ‘show me the truth’ instead of banning me for actually supporting peace?

.. but i see you ban lots of people, so i really don’t care. you are terribly confused. i will pray for you.

“And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.” (2 Timothy 2:24–26, ESV)

… i guess you prove that you are actually frauds. to bad. i liked and shared much of what you posted. you call me a “Messianic Jew” – that’s a riot. i am an anti-Zionist gentile, but it just shows how judgmental you are. so sorry for you…

We’re not sure how your post got to WHTT. We have nothing to do with “Christians United for Peace.” Perhaps, “Christians United for Peace” posted one of our stories. Also, we are curious why you would say, “but i see you ban lots of people…” A search of our website gives no results for your name, “Orland Foster.” We really do appreciate anti-Zionists in our work for peace and justice in the Holy Land.

Dr Peter Hammond of Frontline Missionaries, based in SA and in the USA …A dangerous man…. whose “Christian” mission needs to be stopped asap …

What Dr Peter Hammond says about Mandela, animals and abortion is true. My issue with Dr Hammond is his severe hate for all humans who do not fit his (“Gods”) idea of what a perfect human should be and his apostasy of God’s Word which he reads with his only intellect and not with his spirit also. I do believe that he could have become a wonderful human, were he not so deeply led and influenced by his close consorts, and by his eternally bottomless ego. I feel Dr Hammond is a danger to peace in society and uses his mission as a front, but this is just my gut feeling. Livingston, the missionary, is more important to him than God or Gods Word. By all means be a fireball for truths, but then do it for ALL truths, do not pick and choose, and do not spread hate for the innocents, so publicly, and so vitrioli.

Dr Peter Hammond of Frontline Missionaries, based in SA and in the USA …A dangerous man…. whose “Christian” mission, which trains new missionaries, needs to be stopped asap … for the sake of peace for all.
What Dr Peter Hammond says about Mandela, animals and abortion and many other issues, is true. But he fabricates and embellishes on other topics. Particularly the bible. I put it to you that this man knows God only intellectually and not personally. (And I am being kind here).
I feel Dr Hammond is a danger to peace in society and uses his mission as a front, perhaps not as a “veteran soldier or pro-apartheid concern”, but perhaps more likely as a way to make money, however this is just my gut feeling.
Livingston, the famous historical missionary, is more important to Dr Hammond, than God or God’s Word.
By all means be a fireball for truths, but then do it for ALL truths, do not pick and choose, and do not spread hate for the innocents, so publicly, and with such enormous vitriol whom he will train his young impressionable missionaries in training, to hate also..
He claims that God hates all humans and that no human is good, and he will quote the bible out of context, to prove this.
That the man hates all of the following:
1 Even saved Christians, whom he will train his young impressionable missionaries in training, to hate also.
2 All Muslims, even moderate Muslims, whom he will train his young impressionable missionaries in training, to hate also.
3 All Jews, whom he will train his young impressionable missionaries in training, to hate also.
4 All people whose identity is not heterosexual, whom he will train his young impressionable missionaries in training, to hate also.
Dr Peter Hammond criticizes social media, which is his number one medium, besides books, documentaries and movies, which he uses to spread his hate. He is a highly intelligent man, and knows how to protect his own reputation and interests on all media platforms, thus is very careful on social media, but I know this man’s heart well. As far as God is concerned, it’s our hearts / intentions / agenda’s which matter most. In this way he is rather unintelligent and gullible, himself believing each and every possible propaganda online, not knowing how to filter truth from the lies, and certainly not trying to do so. This also makes him very dangerous

Dr Hammond has for far too long now, supported his family and his concerns by breeding new apostate missionaries, year in and year out, who go into the world to teach lies and hate among the truths. In this way I find the man who is Dr Peter Hammond, utterly dangerous to this world.

I am tired to see that dispenationalism is blamed for christian Zionism. I am a dispensatialist myself can see clearly that the Israel of today is not the theocratic Israel to come, you have to study the prophets and you will see that. Any Orthodox Jew (NETUREI KARTA) will tell you the same. It is the Messiah who will establish Israel again. But we the body of Christ have not replaced Israel as it is taught in most of Christian churches!!! What are you gonna do with all the prophecies. Are you making God a liar? There is a way to teaching the truth (and that includes the falsity of the state of Israel, and the Zionist thinking in the Christian Churches) by rightly dividing HOLY SCRIPTURE into its right dispensations!!!
With great respect

You may be right, Richard, but the theology of dispensationalism, that is less than 200 years old, has been the vehicle used to get Christ followers on board the Christian Zionist theology bus. Extreme Christian Zionists will say that Palestinians, even Christian Palestinians, don’t have a right to live in their homeland because, they say, “God gave the modern state of Israel to Jews only.” If this is true, then God must be a racist. The body of Christ has not replaced Israel but has been grafted into Israel as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. You might be interested in our podcast with Dr. Rob Dalrymple, author of “These Brothers of Mine: A Biblical Theology of Land & Family & a response to Christian Zionism,” where he talks about about replacement theology vs. fulfillment theology:

Just started a website this year.
I started emailing in the UK and a penecostal minister suggeted the following to me before I do anymore.
”If what we are engaged in draws opposition, we need to be better prepared, and have better arguments and a better attitude, than those who oppose us.

When you have gathered some ‘solid’ articles and arguments to fill-out the website, it may become a useful point of access to those who wish to question the evangelical ‘norm’ of unquestioning and uncritical Zionism.”

With this comment in mind I was wondering if you had any information or notes.
Have done a video section now putting together a theological section.

God bless

Jonathan, thanks for your comment. We Hold These Truths and our website have been in existence since 1996. We started to address the issue of Christian Zionism in 2002 after our founder, Chuck Carlson, went to Israel and into Gaza. Some excellent examples of our podcasts that challenge the theology of Christian Zionism can be found at: 1. 2. 3. Feel free to embed these on your site. Best of luck to you on your endeavor.

Hi. Thanks for your work exposing the murderous poison of zionism in America’s churches. I have spent months traveling around Syria the past two years and over five years and 6,000 of research. What you’ve been saying is most effectively and tragically proven in the US illegal and immoral war against Syria. I’d like someone from your organization to contact me please. Thank you.

there is no such thing as Christian Zionism. it is unbiblical. jews don’t even pray to the GOD of the Bible. the have there Kabbala and the Talmud. the are still haters of Jesus Christ and the Christians. The Lord Jesus Christ said that to go to GOD they first have to go through Jesus Christ. So, who do they pray to? these Judaism is communism.

While I am myself don’t agree with “Zionism” (both Christian and secular)the ideology of Zionism is only part of the Church’s and Americas currant problems, the American Church and Christians real problems is not sticking to its Biblical roots and not preaching the truth in Love, and being to politically correct and worldy or being to “hell fire and brimstone” and even some denominations supporting things such Abortion, Gay marriage and lgbtq rights, welfare, liberal politicians, to name some sadly (Binkly BC of NC supports all of those)as well as not active in society and culture and politics, so while I don’t agree with Zionism affecting the Church and Americas Foreign policy I my option your Ministry should be wanting to renew the America Christian Church to repent and return to Biblical roots, that is all i am trying to say

There wouldn’t be a need for a We Hold These Truths if “zionized” Christians were to practice what Jesus preached: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:7.

I would like to thank you for putting forth so strongly and clearly your thoughts on your website. I see so often today where Christians seem to just go with the flow never taking a stand.
There appears to be a broken link on your site that at one time went to a speaking event held at Scottsdale Bible Church with Archbishop Elias Chacour. Is it possible to correct this? Or is there another way to listen?
No one at SBC seems to remember the event.
Thank you
GOD Bless

Tom Compton
April 15th, 2019

Steven, thanks for your kind remarks. We have corrected the problem and Archbishop Chacour’s talk is now available. The talk, described in our article, “Christian Zionists Snap at the Heels of A Man From Galilee,” took place on 5/4/2009 at Scottsdale Bible Church, where I have attended since 1991, and am a member. It was not an official church event. One of the church elders arranged for a room for the event. The new senior Pastor Jamie Rasmussen was present at the talk along with a crowd of about 100 in a standing room only classroom. It’s interesting to note that the elder who arranged the talk, left the church, and is now a Presbyterian. Also, as a result of Archbishop Chacour’s appearance at SBC, another group was allowed to host an event to counter the good Archbishop, except they were allowed to use the main worship center that held around 2,000. That event featured the Palestinian fraud, Walid Shoebat. This is described in Chuck Carlson’s article, “Walid Shoebat, His Clones and The Zionist, Messianic-Christian, Network Inside Evangelical Churches.” – Tom Compton
